Myer Needs to Get Smaller to Succeed, Says Credit Suisse

Slim-fit is in fashion, and Myer needs to take notice and shrink the size of its stores to get back on track.
That’s according to Credit Suisse market analyst Grant Saligari, who says some of the department store’s flagship outlets are like baggy suits in need of a tailor.
Added to the pressures on the retailer is the performance of David Jones, which reported sales growth of 9.7 per cent in the first half of 2016 – more than twice Myer’s rate. Sydney Morning Herald – Read more…
