Wesfarmers’ Coles gets ACCC green light to buy five Supabarn stores
Coles has gained clearance from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission to acquire five supermarkets from the Koundouris family’s Supabarn Group, increasing its market share in the ACT and New South Wales.
However, Supabarn will keep four stores and two development sites that were originally part of the deal after the competition regulator raised concerns about the impact on competition.
