Myer patches up management ranks after Andrew Flanagan farce
Myer chief executive Bernie Brookes has reached out to a former business associate to fill a gap in the department store retailer’s ranks after the debacle involving serial CV fantasist Andrew Flanagan.

Bypassing headhunters and recruitment agencies, Mr Brookes has hired a former Coca-Cola, Reebok and Puma executive, Gary Williams, as Myer’s executive general manager of strategic planning and business development.

Mr Brookes has known Mr Williams for 15 years, having worked closely with him when Mr Brookes was running supermarkets for Woolworths and Mr Williams was running The Coca-Cola Company’s Australian operations. Sydney Morning Herald – Read more…
