Board concerned about paracetamol in “dump bins”
The Pharmacy Board of Australia raised concerns about large packs of paracetamol being sold in “dump bins”.
The Board’s concerns were raised after the TGA announced restrictions on the pack size of paracetamol that can be sold outside of the community pharmacy setting, from 1 September 2013.

Stephen Marty, Board chair said the decision to reschedule paracetamol in packs of more than 20 500mg tablets was made because of the risk that paracetamol can cause serious liver damage if taken in high doses. Contact – Read more…
