Consumers reject supermarket price wars
Despite being bombarded by daily claims of price cuts by the major chains, 90 per cent of shoppers claim to have seen no reduction in their weekly food bill.
The October poll conducted by Buy Australian Magazine (BAM) found a groundswell of opposition to the supermarket price war with just 10 per cent of shoppers claiming to have seen a reduction in their weekly shopping costs and the majority believing it has come at the cost of product choice and Australian made products.
