Aussies not swayed by brands

Australian and New Zealand consumers are less likely to be influenced by branding than shoppers globally, a new study has found.
While 74 per cent of Chinese consumers would spend more on designer goods, the highest globally, 26 per cent of consumers in Australia and 17 per cent in New Zealand are willing to pay more for designer goods compared to unbranded products with the same function, according to a research report by global information and measurement company, Nielsen.
The survey, of more than 29,000 internet respondents in 58 countries, also examined the role advertising has on influencing consumer purchasing decisions.  InsideRetail – Read more…
