Survey finds city grocery prices have risen, while regional prices fall

A survey has found the cost of essential groceries has risen in most capital cities, while in some regional communities the price has dropped.
ABC Local reporters priced a common basket of grocery items at major supermarkets in 21 locations across the nation and compared the results to a similar survey in 2009.
The basket included essential goods such as bread, milk, butter, eggs, toilet paper, washing powder and vegetables.  ABC – Read more…
