Retail sales soft amid consumer caution
Australians are remaining cautious about their spending, with retail sales for May edging up slightly as consumers bought more food, clothing and accessories.

Retail sales lifted a seasonally adjusted 0.1 per cent for the month, following a revised 0.1 per cent decrease in April. It was below economists’ expectations of a 0.3 per cent rise.
