Coles fined for Australian Grown signs over imports
Coles supermarket has been fined $61,000 for hanging Australian Grown signs above imported fruit and vegetables.
The alleged misleading signs occurred in five stores this year, in Queensland, New South Wales, Western Australia and the ACT.
The consumer watchdog, the ACCC, found large Helping Australia Grow signs were hung above imported navel oranges, kiwi fruit and asparagus and almonds. ABC – Read more…
