Sale of Franklins to Metcash
The Federal Court dismissed an application by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission for an interim injunction to restrain Metcash from proceeding with the acquisition of the Franklins supermarket business until a full appeal is heard and determined.
The Court has listed the ACCC’s appeal for an expedited three-day hearing starting on October 24, 2011.
