In digital and AI transformations, it’s important to start with the problem, not the technology. Unfortunately, many organizations still haven’t realized this. Defining the problem should always be the first step, regardless of the industry or project. I’ve seen this same approach being applied to sales and marketing projects, where a certain technology or approach catches the team’s eye and they try to fit the project around it. But that’s not how successful outcomes are achieved. Start with defining the problem before considering methodologies, approaches, technology or competitors. Trust me, it’s worth it.
