Woolworths snaps up prime site on Pitt St Mall

Woolworths has taken it to the street with an expanded footprint in the Sydney city, after snaring a prime location for its latest Metro supermarket in Pitt Street Mall.
It will open on Wednesday, June 20 in the basement area of the former fashion store Forever 21 at 400 George Street, which is owned by the Investa Commercial Property Fund, (25 per cent), Mirvac on behalf of CIC (50 per cent) and M&G (25 per cent).
Forever 21 is closing down the store. A new tenant is under negotiations for the ground floor and level 1 of the site that fronts Pitt Street Mall. Sydney Morning Herald – Read more…
