Aldi’s discount vacuum frenzy leaves shoppers angry

A pair of discounted vacuum cleaners have become the subject of great contention, when shoppers flooded Aldi supermarkets on Saturday morning only to find the promised bargain goods sold out almost immediately.Earlier in December, Aldi advertised it would offer two Dyson model vacuums at heavily discounted rates on Saturday as part of its ‘Special Buys’ range.
The DC29 Multifloor was offered at $349, while the D44 Animal sold for $299.
The sale was hyped up online and on Saturday morning crowds flocked to Aldi stores around Australia to queue.
