Aldi prepares new branding for first time in 20 years

German discount supermarket Aldi is preparing to give its logo a major freshen for the first time since it launched in Australia in 2001.
The change is global and the supermarket giant’s most significant alteration to its banner in about 25 years.
The new logo has already been used for Aldi’s new Chinese website. It is expected to be phased in country by country – including the US and Britain – from the middle of the year.
"The principle of simplicity is reflected in the new logo. Despite an updated apearance, it still contains the typical ALDI colours," an ALDI Australia spokesperson said. Sydney Morning Herald – Read more…
