Woolworths looks to cut ties with Qantas

Embattled grocery giant Woolworths is looking to axe its relationship with Qantas through its Everyday Rewards card as it wrestles to win back market share from Coles and Aldi.
Sources close to Woolworths suggest the arrangement with Qantas, which means shoppers can earn frequent flyer points when they shop at Woolworths, Big W or BWS is too costly to continue because the retailer has to pay for the points it passes on to customers.
The scheme is a major selling point for Woolworths at at time when Australia’s biggest supermarket is struggling to rebuild its image as a competitive alternative to Aldi and Coles.  Sydney Morning Herald – Read more…
