Woolworths announces new milk contracts
Woolworths has entered into new milk contracts with Fonterra, Parmalat, Brownes and Lion and claims these contracts will give dairy farmers and processors more certainty to invest and innovate.
The contracts with milk processors in Queensland (Parmalat), Western Australia (Brownes) and Victoria (Fonterra) are for significantly longer periods – 10, 7.5 and 10 years, respectively – than Woolworths has made in the past.
