Drug company Pfizer accused of competition breach on Lipitor medication

Australia’s competition watchdog is taking court action against the drug company Pfizer for allegedly misusing its market power to sell cholesterol-lowering medication to pharmacies.
The allegations relate to the company’s conduct in the months before May 2012, when Pfizer’s cholesterol-lowering drug Lipitor came ”off patent”, allowing competitors to enter the market and supply cheaper generic versions.  Sydney Morning Herald – Read more…
