Metcash names convenience chief
Metcash has named Peter Struck, a former Coles Express executive, as its new CEO of convenience.
The appointment come just one week after Metcash unveiled its plans to split its food and grocery business into two, reversing a 2012 decision to merge the operations.
Struck has also previously held senior executives roles at BP and Woolworths.
Ian Morris, CEO of Metcash, said the appointment, along with the recent appointment of Fergus Collins as CEO for supermarkets, would boost the wholesaler’s focused approach to realising future opportunities.
