SIGMA SETTLES $57.5M CLASS ACTION SUIT

Less than a week after the deadline for shareholders to join a class action against the management of Sigma Pharmaceuticals Limited, the company has agreed to pay $57.5 million to cover the claims.

In a statement to the ASX this morning, Sue Morgan, Sigma general counsel and company secretary, announced the settlement. “Sigma has reached a settlement agreement in relation to class action proceedings commenced by Slater & Gordon in October 2010,” she said. Pharmacy News – Read More.
