Pharmacist hits out on Pfizer supply issue

Pfizer is defending its direct-to pharmacy distribution service, following claims a pharmacy was forced to rely on a hospital to supply medicine for a sick child.

In a letter to Pharmacy News, a Victorian pharmacist, who wrote on the condition of anonymity, said he was unable to supply Pfizer’s Zithromax antibiotics, prescribed by a local GP for a baby, as neither he, nor any of the other pharmacies in the area had it in stock due to a lack of demand.​ Pharmacy News – Read More. ​
