Dick Smith Helps Kogan.com Beat Expectations

Retailer Dick Smith has delivered $6.5 million in sales since it shut its doors and reopened as an online-only store owned by Kogan.com.
Purchasing the collapsed electronics chain’s website, brand name and customer mailing list for $2.6 million has helped Kogan beat the forecast for sales and profit laid out in its prospectus, it revealed in its first full-year results on Tuesday.
Kogan, which listed on the stock market in July, reported revenue of $211.2 million, beating its prospectus by $10.1 million. About 65 per cent of that came from its new Dick Smith store, exceeding Kogan’s expectations. Sydney Morning Herald – Read more…
