David Jones Unveils Strong Full-Year Sales
South African-owned department store David Jones has maintained its strong lead on rival Myer, reporting an 8.4 per cent increase in sales in Australian dollar terms and 7 per cent growth in comparable sales for the 52 weeks to June 26.
This compares to a 6.4 per cent increase in sales for the same period last year for the Woolworths Holdings-owned retailer. But it’s almost half the 12.2 per cent sales growth rate for the first 20 weeks of the financial year unveiled in February this year. Sydney Morning Herald – Read more…
