What is the future of FMCG brand loyalty?

A few things have happened in the last few weeks that made me ask that question.

There is no doubt the trend towards house brands across all categories of consumer spending will continue as retail supply chains become more transparent and global. Consumers are in a position to make judgements on the value they receive based on information from a variety of sources, not just on a label.
