Sydney’s first 24-hour, 7-days-a-week supermarket could open at North Rocks Shopping Centre, under plans approved by the state government.
But its operator, supermarket giant Coles, said in an emailed statement that there are actually “no firm plans” to keep the store open around-the-clock.
The statement said it is “standard practice” to ask permission to trade for 24-hours-a-day when applying for approval, to give the supermarket flexibility around trading hours in the future. The Daily Telegraph – Read more…
