Woolies misses out on Barossa Valley Estate

Supermarket giant Woolworths has walked away from talks to purchase the wine assets of New Zealand’s Barossa Valley Estate, with Delegat’s Group making a successful offer to buy the vineyard for $24.7 million.
It was reported that Woolworths and other buyers, potentially overseas players including Chinese firms, were keen on buying the business after it lurched into receivership earlier this year.  Sydney Morning Herald – Read more…
